Florida's Home Sales Increase in First Quarter of 2009

  orlando

For the first quarter of 2009, only six states saw an increase in home sales and Florida home sales are among the lucky few. In 2008 was tumultuous for home sellers, the first quarter of 2009 shows promise with the news that home sales have increased since the end 2008.

This increase has blessed only a handful of states, including Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Virginia, Minnesota and California. This surge in sales is primarily due to the lower price entry for quality homes, and the $8,000 tax rebate for new homebuyers, it looks like buyers are making their way back into the market to snap up the great deals on Central Florida homes.

Florida in general was slow is 2008 there was one area that showed a quicker recovery and that the coveted Central Florida region. There was an actual 15% increase in sales, a few months sooner than the rest of the state saw a recovery, towards the end of 2008.

This rise was due to the close proximity to Orlando and its popular theme parks, the beautiful weather, and plethora of upscale, family friendly neighborhoods, Central Florida is a choice location to buy a home. From luxury condos in Heathrow, Longwood or Winter Springs to waterfront property in Windermere, people are returning to the Central Florida real estate market not only to buy first homes, but to purchase vacation homes.

Individuals looking for a first home, second home, condo or sprawling estate, the importance of finding a talented real estate professional is more important than ever. Foreclosures, short sales and auctions require the guidance and knowledge of a seasoned Florida real estate professional.
